Tunnel of Love

I collect pics of Spencer jumping....
no reason why...I just do.

Hip Hop

Freaky-deaky Easter Bunny played by Uncle Monkey.
Ryan gallantly stepped up to play Ester B. Rabbit this year. I, however, may have neglected to mention -prior to him stepping into the suit - that the ability to breathe and see was extremely compromised as well as the internal suit temperature could fry an easter egg. Ryan and I now have trust issues but I am hoping to have them resolved up by this time next year.

WHAT???

"Happy Easter to you... "
 "Thank you...Happy East... WTF?!"
"What????"
There is something to be said about brotherly love.

Nothing better than a bit of Biodiversity

 Who me?!

I roped my dad in coming with Finnegan and myself to the BC Biodiversity Museum up at UBC. I had no idea what to expect. Rows upon rows of jars and windows filled with everything from fungi to beetles, to stuffed birds, to eels, to a skull of a platypus, to a skeleton of an adult blue whale....even a stuffed beaver (giggle). Fin was amazing. He asked questions. Found answers. And took it all in....Brilliant!

Fin the Science Kid

In the back room of the Biodiversity Museum, Finnegan found that there was a Lab that he could explore. I have never seen him so quiet and intense. He moved from microscope to microscope with such a slow and deliberate manner. The lab tech showed him how to set up the microscope and then he went out on his own. It was awesome to watch. He was amazed that he was allowed to touch the microscopes and even more amazed by what they allowed him to see.
I had high hopes for him being a rock star but I'll settle for him curing Cancer.

Birds of a Feather

Leap of Faith

" I'm a super hero!! SHAZAAM!!! "

Once again our trip to Maui had a serious diet of birthday cake.
Teg turned the big 03 and I turned the big 30 (+11). No snickers from the peanut gallery thank you very much!

Pot of Gold

For Teggen's birthday we sent the kids off on a treasure hunt. Thank goodness for the golf course. Those kids literally ran to the end of the rainbow and back...all for a bag of jelly beans. Imagine if, as an adult, you found a pot of gold at the end of the rainbow. Expecting a gleaming, golden, mother lode you were presented with a black kettle crammed with jelly-bellies. "Let down" would not be the two words that would first come to my mind. As for the kiddies...huge grins..squeals of delight...and happy dances all came out when the booty was revealed.
Oh to be a child again...

Hmmm let's see... if wind direction was "d" and horizontal velocity "vt"and the height from base of cliff was an approximate 6 feet then that would make it d=vt + 1/2 at2.....
ah...what the heck...BONSAI!!!!
Teggen...once again diggin' himself into a big hole
Look mum!...I can flyyyyyyyy
(or at least until they land in a tangled mess at the bottom of the sand pit complaining they have sand in their bits)

How the west was won...

Stand off between The Sunshine Kid and Mother Nature
(insert dramatic cowboy genre whistle)
First one to blink goes ass-over-tea-kettle...
Teg won this round due to lack of waves but Mother Nature retaliated the next day with a quick undertow to the knee caps. He never saw it coming...
